We are seeking Canadian videogame developers and designers in various disciplines. All roles are hired as Independent Contractors, so please be prepared to offer your services as such.

We will try to respond to all applicants to let you know whether or not we will schedule an interview. All positions require a minimum of 1-2 years experience working in the games industry in some capacity.

1. UI/UX Designer

As the UI designer, you will design intuitive and immersive features that do everything to prevent the player from being taken out of the experience of Bushcraft Survival. You will produce interface mockups, images and icons to be used in game, as well as vector art. The art direction for the UI is moody, rustic, and wilderness.

2. Producer / Business Development Coordinator

We're looking for a Producer with a business development mindset to help manage and organize production for Bushcraft Survival, while also supporting business decisions, funding compliance, and studio operations. You will work closely with the creative director to ensure the project stays on track and meets its strategic and operational goals.

3. 3D/VFX Generalist (Environments-Focused)

We are looking for a 3D/VFX Generalist with strong artistic instincts and a good sense of atmosphere to help shape the world of Bushcraft Survival. You'll be responsible for creating high-quality environmental assets and VFX that contribute to the grounded and immersive wilderness experience. While technical art support is available, your work should be clean and game-ready.

4. Narrative Writer

We are looking for a Narrative Writer to help bring emotional depth to the story of Bushcraft Survival. The Story Mode will not be released until the full launch of the game (late 2026), so there will be time to craft the narrative along with the art direction. The world and overarching themes center on solitude, the weight of leaving everything behind, and the search for peace and meaning in the wilderness. Your role will be to craft grounded, immersive narrative elements that support and deepen the emotional tone of the game, without filling in every possible detail.

These roles are currently being hired in advance of confirmed funding. Offers of contract are conditional upon the studio's successful funding application, with work expected to begin in October 2024.
